Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of attending a service here as I have wanted to do since hearing Dr James Montgomery Boice on the radio for years. My experience with them came this past week as I was involved with a choir that was singing back-up for the Keith and Krysten Getty concert at the Kimmel Center a few blocks away. A couple days prior to the concert we were informed that Tenth Presbyterian was planning on serving us a dinner meal prior to going in to sing and so we were all glad about that as it kept us from having to either pack a lunch or find something somewhere in the blocks surrounding the Theater. They did a very good job at hosting the meal which was basically an assortment of subs and some soda or water to drink. Everyone seemed to be happy to be helping us out and serving us with gladness so I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you.

My experience here left much to be desired. I attended here from age 15-18 with my parents and I have never felt more left out in my life. I was constantly trying to talk to people and make friends but no one seemed to want to talk to me. None of the pastors know anyone by name except their small circle of friends and elders do nothing about it. By age 19 I wanted nothing to do with christianity or this church. I felt as if this place was a prison that I could not escape. I am now attending Aldan Union and am so grateful to be attending this church. I have been going there 4 months and feel as if I have been adopted into a new family.

I started going to this church in 2010. It was around the time they were looking for a new Senior Minister, thank God I heard Tripp before he left. I first received wonderful feedback from a few Ministers who have since left. They were interested in me joining the church. Received a letter and everything. First some of those small groups, not all are what they are cracked up to be. Meeting in someone's home. Very nice they open their home but some of the participants aren't open. Second after I received that letter acknowledging my wanting to become a member. Nothing Nothing I didn't even know where to begin to follow up about it. I was disappointed. I like some of the Ministers there now but that church in and of itself, the people aren't that friendly and it seems that they aren't too interested in getting new members. Attend service every once and a while because they have an excellent music ministry. They have great outreach programs. Servicing for service sake I suppose.

Evening service okay....friendlier greetings and always excellent choir!Added October 23, 2016 by Nina Burda Terry - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This church is amazing. The church is large. However, an advantage to a large church, is there is something for everyone. You will not be able to get to know everyone but you should find a nice group of people that have similar interests. The preaching is strong and seriously biblical. If you are looking for an I'm ok you're ok church. This is not the church for you. The pastors believe and preach the word of God, even the unpopular words of God. You will find very little compromise on scripture here. If it is God's word you are looking for or if your child is attending college in Philadelphia and you would like to find a sound biblical church for them to attend. Look no further, this is it. Great biblical preaching, Great music, Great ministries, Awesome scholarly pastor. the best.
