  This historic church is a beautiful, spiritual place in the heart of old city Philadelphia. The history and aesthetics are stunning, and even if you are not religious, it is a very worthwhile place to visit. It is practically hidden within the city block, but the beauty when you enter its doors is expansive.

  The the first Catholic church in America. Beautiful in its simplicity, hidden in an alley.

  It is a beautiful historical Roman Catholic Church, when we entered someone was playing the organ. GAVE me chills. Went for a historical project for my son's school project for St Matthew's school in northeast Philadelphia. As we left we meet Father Flynn, Jesuit priest, got a picture of my son and him.
