  • When my husband walked out on me and my daughter, the Catholic church was the only one who helped us. I will always be grateful.

To all of you that ditch the Catholic Church; you should reconsider that decision because of corruption from within. Would you ditch your country if your elected officials did the same, then don't do it to your Church? Don't throw the baby out with the bath water

Negative infinity stars! I wish I could take back the 18+ years of support my family invested in this organization. I was sued by their affiliate Gwynedd Mercy college for falling under financial hardship. My family was never helped by this organization, instead I felt that we were exploited for monetary support and other forms of support. We spent thousands to millions on Catholic school tuition and donations to the church and were repaid with a lawsuit for falling under financial hardship. I don't understand how Catholic Colleges and Universities in Pennsylvania (St. Josephs University, Gwynedd Mercy College, Cabrini etc) have a partnership with a law firm in suing former students for falling under financial hardship when this is clearly against your stated mission. This organization gains tax exempt status for claiming to be a charity organization that serves the community, why then was I sued and not helped? This organization should be legally obligated to help students who fall under financial hardship since they get away with not paying billions in their fair share of taxes to the community by claiming to be a " nonprofit" " charity" organization. I felt that the Catholic organizations exploited my family and couldn't ever name one instance where we were ever helped by them. Shame on you and your affiliates. I felt extremely offended by the lawsuit and the disrespectful, abusive treatment I received from their affiliates/lawyers over petty cash. I felt that I was promised against behaviors like this from a Catholic Organization due to their stated missions of helping the community. It's clear now that their only concern was ever only money. I feel that my family was cheated by the Catholic Organizations. We made way too many family/personal sacrifices to support Catholic schools and churches to be treated this way. Enjoy the fancy cars and mansions financed by my family, families like mine and the community. Thank-You for teaching me the difference between Spirituality and Religion. While religion is a big ruthless business, spirituality is a connection with God and a connection with God doesn't cost a penny let alone the millions my family spent on the Catholic organization. I promise, no Catholic organization or religious organization for that matter will ever get another form of support from me ever again. Shame on you and your affiliates. I find it disturbing how an organization such as this one that was founded, established and persists on donations and support from the community could ever feel they had the right to sue anyone in court let alone have the audacity to sue the very people of the community who financed their lifestyles. It's despicable and none of it is fair. This entire review is my personal opinion after my true experience. The experience I had with this organization and Gwynedd Mercy College and their lawyers caused me much long-term emotional distress. This organization used my family as their meal ticket and threw us away when they were done with us. If there is a God I hope he has his way with this organization for all the distress and injustices they have caused me, my family and families like mine. If I could turn back the hands of time I would have countersued this organization and DEMANDED that they return every penny manipulated from my family then I should have reported them the IRS and petitioned to have their tax exempt status revoked (which I still can do). I don't understand how they get away with the "tax exempt", "nonprofit" "charity" status BS they feed to the IRS. This clearly only benefits them by allowing them to evading paying billions in their fair share of taxes. Isn't it a violation of your "charity" "tax exempt" "nonprofit" status to form a partnership with a law firm and sue the people of the community who supported you when they fall under financial hardship? The IRS needs to revoke their "tax exempt" status and make them pay their fair share of taxes to the community. This organization made a business out of my family and cheated us.

The Catholic Diocese of Scranton is trying to steal ten of thousands of dollars we put down in escrow when we were trying to buy one of their buildings. Our Agreement was if we didn't get a mortgage approval, they must return the monies. We couldn't get a mortgage, now the Arch Diocese of scranton which has millions of dollars is trying to steal our little bit of monies of our church by trying to go back on the agreement. Whatever happened to "Thou Shalt Not Steal"! Let the Holy War Begin.
